Au Revoir Florida, Hello North Carolina

Truist Field for a Charlotte Knights game

This whole blog was created and inspired by the Florida girl in me - from the sunshine (Soleil) to all the amazing places I discovered while living there - it’s weird to be writing this from a new location with an entirely fresh perspective.

I haven’t written a post since 2023. From working full-time to being a full-time mama, + being pregnant with a second, I didn’t have it in me to dig into my creative side as much as I would have hoped. I found writer’s block many times. I think it’s because I’ve always worked in marketing so I’m constantly looking at the bigger picture and being too calculated. I’ve been trying to match my current passion and phase of life with my writing.

MANY things have changed since I last wrote - with the biggest change being that we moved from Florida to a suburb named Huntersville which is 30 min outside Charlotte, as a family of four (five if you count our fur baby).

Before I had my second child and in the midst of unpacking, I updated this website to showcase my latest work from the past year working in the travel industry. It’s a blend of my professional background and personal passions. I believe if you want to work with someone successfully, you need to know their character - not just what is on their resume. As much as we preach work/life balance, our jobs are always going to be intertwined with our personal lives.

So my view is simple - I value being happy professionally so you can show up and be the best version of yourself at home. So this time around, I’m just going to write whatever inspires me - from motherhood essentials, to a round-up of cool breweries I’ve discovered and see where it all takes me.

Thanks for following along sunshines!
