Brunch in Fort Lauderdale

The BIG question. Where to brunch?

With Easter coming up, it seems fitting to highlight some of the brunch spots we love in Fort Lauderdale. There are so many different themes of brunch - it can be celebratory (holidays, birthdays), necessary (visitors, work), or obligatory (we all know the type - you don’t want to get out of bed but have to make an appearance).

Back in 2014, I was introduced to the activity of ‘brunching’ aka going to a trendy restaurant by noon and starting the day with a Lobster Benedict and an endless flow of champagne with a splash of OJ. The perfect brunch recipe includes simple ingredients: good comfort food, a lively ambiance, and bottomless beverages.

Whether you’re a local and want to impress visitors, or just dreaming of ‘a brunch getaway’ in a warm and sunny destination - check out these top brunch spots in Fort Lauderdale.

  • Shooters Waterfront: this place has dream backyard vibes on the intracoastal serving a variety of fresh seafood and priceless views. Reservations are highly recommended!

  • Ocean 2000: most locals don’t go here but one of our favorite beachfront restaurants located in the Pelican Grande resort, the seating outside is on a plantation style deck with rocking chairs as you sip on a mimosa in the sea breeze.

  • Coconuts: one of the classic seafood spots with a tasty brunch menu that is worth the wait. It’s hidden behind A1A & Las Olas with yacht views, sit at the G&B oyster bar while your name is on the list.

  • Burlock Coast at the Ritz: enjoy a rustic yet chic vibe at this beachfront restaurant on A1A, the omelettes and salads pair well with an Aperol Spritz.

  • Beach House Pompano: a little north of Ft Lauderdale but worth it for the views and family friendly vibes of this restaurant. It has two stories with a cozy beach house design that brings a warm welcome.

  • Dune at Auberge: reimagined upscale restaurant in our favorite part of Ft Lauderdale beach - take a stroll before or after on A1A to walk off your brunch and check out the neighborhood.

  • S3 at Hilton: one of the classics - Sun, Surf, Sand. Good for all occasions but they even have brunch for dogs. Need I say more?

  • El Vez at W: trendy Mexican restaurant with a large outside area and bar. People watch while you enjoy breakfast tacos and have the conflict if it’s too early to order a margarita.

  • Louie Bossi’s: this place is always packed but fun fact if you go from 2-4pm, brunch is still going and you can usually snag a bar spot. Share a pizza and salad with bottomless Aperol Spritzes.

  • Tap 42: the OG brunch spot in Fort Lauderdale, enough said.

  • Lauderdale Yacht Club: ok so they don’t have bottomless but if you’re lucky to be a member here or have friends that do - definitely try and go here for a classy brunch complete with some of the best views in the area.

  • Foxy Brown: originally a tiny restaurant, the recent opening of it’s larger concept still holds true to it’s neighborhood feel with just good brunch.

  • Java & Jam: this place has breakfast martinis. That is all I can remember, but the draping greenery and location offers a good ambiance.

  • Big City Tavern: rain or shine, this place serves a great brunch with pub-like vibes and good for people watching.

  • The Brass Tap: this spot was one of the first in the Flagler Village area that always has fur legged friends hanging out plus mimosa flights.
